Product Manager - 1oT Terminal & eSIM Core

At 1oT, we're making global IoT connectivity simpler to build and operate.

We have two customer-facing platforms serving different customer groups:

  • 1oT Terminal is a connectivity management platform for businesses and telecom operators managing SIMs and eSIMs, data usage, costs, and operational workflows across telecom networks.
  • 1oT eSIM Core serves mobile operators and eSIM service providers managing eSIM profile inventory, downloads, analytics, and administration.

The Product Manager will work across both platforms, adapting product discovery and decisions to their distinct customers, users, and operating environments. While the platforms solve different problems, they share many product decisions.

We're looking for a Product Manager who wants to get close to customers, understand difficult operational problems, and shape software that makes those problems meaningfully easier.

About the Role

You will own the customer problem, product direction, and customer-facing experience across 1oT Terminal and eSIM Core. Your role is to identify which problems are worth solving, frame them clearly, and shape solutions that fit customer needs, product context, and available time and technical capabilities.

This is a hands-on product-building role. You'll speak directly with customers, study their workflows, challenge feature requests, map end-to-end flows, and use sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore and communicate solutions.

Engineering's technical leads own architecture and implementation. You'll work closely with them to understand constraints, explore alternatives, and make informed product trade-offs. You don't need to tell engineers how to build the solution, but you should understand the system well enough to help find solutions that are both valuable and realistic.

Own the problems and product direction

  • Maintain a clear view of the most important customer problems 1oT Terminal and eSIM Core should solve next.
  • Build that view through direct customer discovery, product usage, support patterns, commercial context, and collaboration with Sales and Customer Success.
  • Decide what to pursue now, later, or not at all, and make the reasoning behind those decisions clear.
  • Balance customer value, company direction, product coherence, technical feasibility, and the investment a problem deserves.

Discover and shape solutions

  • Work directly with customers to understand their workflows, challenges and future needs.
  • Look beyond feature requests to understand the actual problem a customer is trying to solve.
  • Translate customer needs into clear product requirements, user stories and wireframes that enable developers to build the right solution.
  • Map end-to-end user flows and use sketches, wireframes, or prototypes to explore possible solutions and give the team direction
  • Work with technical leads to evaluate alternatives, dependencies, risks, and scope.
  • Shape work clearly enough that Engineering understands the problem, intended outcome, important interactions, constraints, and boundaries while retaining ownership of the technical design.

Guide delivery and validate outcomes

  • Keep customer context and the intended outcome present throughout development.
  • Make timely product and scope decisions when the team uncovers new information.
  • Maintain a clear, prioritised view of upcoming and active product work.
  • Validate delivered functionality through customer feedback, product evidence, and hands-on use.
  • Communicate important product decisions and priority changes across the company, including the reasoning behind them.
  • Own the outcome rather than treating a hand-off to Engineering as the finish line.

Collaborate across the business

  • Work closely with Engineering, Customer Success, Sales and the team responsible for our eSIM products.
  • Evaluate new eSIM integrations from a product perspective.
  • Connect customer needs, business priorities and technical implementation.

Work experience

  • Experience owning customer-facing B2B software, SaaS, or platform products.
  • Experience working closely with software engineering teams.
  • Strong product discovery and a habit of investigating problems before committing to solutions.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and turn them into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Experience managing product backlogs and working with Jira or similar tools.
  • Comfort thinking visually and expressing ideas through flows, sketches, wireframes, or prototypes. We care more about clarity of thought than polished visual design.
  • Enough technical understanding to discuss systems, APIs, integrations, constraints, and trade-offs productively with experienced engineers.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, hands-on mindset and willingness to take ownership.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SaaS or platform products, APIs and system integrations, IoT, telecommunications, mobile network operators, eSIM technologies or connectivity management platforms is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as eUICC, CDR, RADIUS, SGP.22, or SGP.32 is an advantage. More important is the ability and willingness to learn a technical domain deeply enough to make good product decisions.

Company/organization offers

Why join 1oT?

At 1oT, product work stays close to the customer. You’ll work on two established platforms in IoT and eSIM. They serve different customers and solve different problems, so there is plenty of variety in the work.

You can speak directly with customers, understand how they work, shape a solution with the team, and stay involved as it is built. Then you get to see whether it actually solves the problem.

Each team has a strong technical lead who owns the architecture and implementation. This gives you room to build real technical depth without being expected to act as an engineering manager.

We’re a small team. Product decisions don’t pass through several layers, and the Product Manager isn’t there simply to relay requests between customers and Engineering. You’ll be expected to form a view, explain the trade-offs, and help decide what gets built.

The domain will take time to learn. That’s part of the job. You’ll have experienced technical people around you and plenty of real product decisions to make while you learn.
