Research Fellow - Communities and Rural-Urban Contexts in Driving Sustainability Transitions
The Centre for Landscape and Culture (CLC) at Tallinn University is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our research team. The successful candidate will contribute to the ERA Chair in Sustainable Futures project (SustainERA, DOI: 10.3030/101186958). The project is led by Prof Anu Realo and Prof Kai Pata and is funded by the European Commission's Horizon Europe “Widening Participation and Spreading Excellence” programme.
The position is available from the 1st January 2026 or shortly thereafter on a two-year fixed-term contract. The position will involve primarily collaborating with Dr Tarmo Pikner, Prof Kai Pata, and Dr Terje Väljataga, as well as with other members of the research team.

The Centre for Landscape and Culture (CLC) at the School of Humanities is an interdisciplinary research centre focused on human geography, urban studies, landscape studies, and border studies. The centre provides creative space for international research initiatives and discussion seminars. The centre has experience in carrying out EU-funded research projects (e.g. Horizon Europe, Interreg) and hosting visiting scholars and post-doctoral fellows at Tallinn University.
