Senior Devops Engineer

1oT is aggregating many telecoms around the world into one eSIM and connectivity management platform to provide global connectivity to IoT devices. Our two software elements, the eSIM infrastructure and connectivity management platform, have been developed in-house and have stood out in the market. With the certified eSIM infrastructure (1oT eSIM Core), our customers can swap telecoms whenever they wish, and with the connectivity management platform (1oT Terminal), they can control and manage connectivity on a self-service basis either through our UI or APIs. 


Our 2G, 3G, 4G, NB-IoT, and LTE-M connectivity service is used by 4 million IoT devices in 173 countries. Your responsibility is to be the backbone of our infrastructure, ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, and resilient. Your job is to make deployment seamless, allowing our engineering teams to focus on building world-class products.


This is an on-site position based in Tartu/Tallinn, Estonia. We do not offer relocation assistance.

Work assignments

What you’ll do:

  • Managing and optimizing our CI servers, ensuring that our build and release pipelines are fast, reliable, and automated.
  • Taking full ownership of our logging and monitoring solutions. You’ll ensure we have the metrics and alerts needed to catch issues before our customers do.
  • Helping to unify different deployment solutions across the company into a single, streamlined process. You’ll be the architect of a more cohesive delivery workflow.
  • Day-to-day management of our AWS environment, ensuring resources are utilized efficiently and securely.

Personal qualities

You’re a good fit if:

  • You have 5+ years of DevOps / system administration experience and have successfully managed production environments in the cloud.
  • You are comfortable navigating AWS services.
  • You enjoy bringing order to chaos and have a clear vision of how a modern deployment pipeline should look.
  • You are proactive in identifying bottlenecks in the development lifecycle and enjoy automating repetitive tasks.
  • You work well with developers and product teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide technical guidance.
  • You have the knowledge of best practices for securing cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
  • You have experience with Terraform to manage infrastructure.

Additional requirements

Nice to have:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL database upgrades.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for managing containerized workloads at scale.
