The purpose of the position is to enhance the quality of teaching and research, to promote international and domestic cooperation in R&D, and to contribute to research and development projects in the field of macroeconomics.
A key role of the professorship is the ability to apply for competitive funding and to participate in international R&D networks. The objective of the professorship is to contribute to the development of teaching and learning at all levels of higher education and to be visible both in the academic field and in contributing to societal development. In alignment with the general aspirations of TalTech, the professor is expected to put some focus on digitalization and green transformation.
Tasks:
Accompanying tasks: participation in national and international professional decision-making bodies and committees; cooperation with scientific journal editorial boards, peer review of scientific articles; popularization of one's field and scientific domain; coordination of professional continuing education.
The position is fixed term, up to eight years from taking up the position.
Doctoral degree
Previous experience in teaching and supervising at different levels of higher education supports taking up the position.
