  • Developing and coordinating collaborative research. Help refine research questions, integrate contributions across research groups and international partners, and agree feasible work plans, responsibilities and deadlines. Support early-career researchers’ participation in joint work.
  • Feasibility and resource planning. Work with researchers and heads of units to establish the time, expertise and resources required. Identify barriers and prepare options for the Centre Director to adjust scope, schedules or resources.

This role is combining hands-on scientific contributions with research coordination. Scientific leadership of studies and decisions on staff and budgets remain with the responsible investigators and managers. The scope of joint work and the specialist input required will be agreed against actual capacity.

Education

  • A master’s or doctoral degree in biomedicine, genetics, medicine, public health, health data or a related field.

  • Ability to establish effective workflows, prioritise and bring agreed work to completion.

Desirable experience: Experience of Horizon Europe projects and scientific reporting; work with biobanks, clinical studies or health data; knowledge of health technology assessment, research translation or health-data standards such as OMOP and FHIR. Specialist expertise in all these areas is not expected.

Personal qualities

  • Ability to work independently, make reasoned decisions and recognise when specialist input or a management decision is needed.
  • Willingness to handle the operational tasks associated with your own work in a small team.

Language skills

Excellent written and spoken English. English is the working language; Estonian is an advantage, not a requirement.
