The goal of the position is to participate in the implementation of research topics and projects in the field of sustainable business model development and circular economy.


Tasks:


  1. Participate in the development of new Estonian and EU research and contract/tender grant proposals regarding sustainable business models.
  2. Implement basic and applied research projects concerning sustainable business models and circular economy.
  3. Substantially contribute to new basic and applied research projects of the Department, such as DEDYCATING (EU ERASMUS+; AI support for corporate circular economy training) and SOURCES (Interdisciplinary Center of Excellence), as well as potential future research projects.
  4. Handle administration and management of Estonian and international-level research projects and proposals in sustainable business models and circular economy.
  5. Conduct small-scale teaching and thesis supervision activities, preferably in both Estonian and English.
  6. Participate in dissemination activities targeted towards professional and general media, primarily in Estonia.
  7. Provide small-scale support for administrative research group tasks (e.g., event management, support of ERASMUS cooperations, etc.).

PhD degree

Work experience

  • Multi-disciplinary educational background combining social sciences and engineering.
  • Experience in the management and implementation of basic and applied research projects in the field of sustainable business models and circular economy. 
  • Experience in the development of basic and applied research proposals.
  • Quantitative and qualitative methodological research experience.
  • Working experience in interdisciplinary and international teams.
  • Previous work experience in the private and/or public sector (e.g., ministry, municipality, international organization, educational sector) and/or NGO sector is appreciated.

Language skills

Advanced English, basic Estonian.
